Playing Army Men

Paw Paw took me to Wal-Mart and let me buy some more Army men and a cool new Army helmet. I like to play with my Army men and have big battles on the floor with all the men and the tanks and the helicopters.

Painted Horses

At the mall there is a carousel with beautiful carved horses that go up and down. Reen took me with her to collect from some of the customers and since one of them is in the mall, I got to ride the carousel that day.

Her customer was really nice to me, too. He let me pick out a candy bar and take it with me for free. I picked out a bag of Skittles and I remembered my manners and said "Thank you!"

I really like going to work with Reen!

The Park

Mom has had a toothache for a long time, so Reen made her go to see Reen's dentist. There was no school today and PawPaw had to sleep, so Reen took me with her and Mom to the dentist office downtown.

I got to go in the back and see the treatment room with the big chair and the trays of stuff, then the dentist came to pull out Mom's tooth so Reen took me to the playground.

This is a really cool playground but everything was wet from the rain. There were puddles everywhere, including the bottoms of the slides, so I couldn't go down the slides. But there was lots of stuff to climb on, so I had fun anyways.

There is a huge dragon made of ceramic tiles with all kinds of designs and pictures on it.

There is a climbing wall made of rocks with a big tunnel that goes through it. It had a little river running along the bottom of the tunnel that you can splash in! It's hard to walk on something that is round!

That was a fun place. I want to go back there next time Mom goes to see the dentist. As soon as some more of my baby teeth come out Reen is going to take me to the dentist, too.

Scuba Time

I love bath time at Reen's house.

At my house I have to take a bath in the mornings and hurry up so I can go to school and not be late. I hate mornings and getting dressed to go to school - I would rather play with my toys and watch cartoons.

At Reen's house I take my bath at night and I can stay in the bathtub as long as I want to. I have lots of bath toys, like a water wheel that spins when water runs through it. I have Transformers bubble bath that makes lots of bubbles, and I put on my scuba mask just like the mask in "Finding Nemo" and I can chase my plastic shark around the water with my pretend spear gun.

Reen is going to take me for swimming lessons at the YMCA as soon as school is out for the summer so I can learn to swim. Reen and PawPaw want to take me to the beach, but I have to learn to be a good swimmer first.

Let's Go Fishing!

FINALLY got a Sunday with nice weather and PawPaw could take me fishing! We bought my Spiderman fishing rod and tackle box months ago, and every weekend we've wanted to go fishing but it is been too cold or it has been raining.

Since my fishing rod and tackle box are Spiderman, I took my stuffed Spiderman Buddy with us, too. As soon as we got to the lake, another little boy came over to me and said that he has a Spiderman Buddy just like mine! And he has Spiderman sheets and a Spiderman blanket just like mine!

Then another little boy came over and asked if he could pet Buster. We had to bring Buster with us because he has been real sick the past couple of days and Reen couldn't leave him at the house all by himself. So we brought him with us and he made lots of friends, too. Buster ran around a lot and got his leash wrapped around PawPaw's legs and almost tripped PawPaw.

I took my toy shark with us and let him swim in the lake while we waited for the fish to bite on the worms we put on our hooks. When the shark started to float away I had to go in the water and catch him with Buster's water bowl. I got him!

We caught four fish! I was so excited that I caught the first one, and then PawPaw caught the other ones. They were all Stripers, and we threw them back in the water after we catch them, because we have to "catch and release."

Buster was a bad dog and chewed through his leash, so Reen took him home to get another leash but when she came back we had to leave. But we had a lot of fun at the Lake and we caught some fish! Now that PawPaw bought his fishing license we can go back any time we want to, as long as it is not raining. When it gets hotter I can even go swimming here. Next time I will wear my new Transformers bathing suit and my lake shoes.

Happy Easter!

I woke up this morning and there was a really big Easter basket right by my bed! The Easter Bunny came to PawPaw's house to find me!

The basket has all these COOL dinosaurs and lots of candy. I got Skittles and M&Ms and sour dip. I love candy!

We watched the movie called Jungle Book so PawPaw could sleep. I can play with my dinosaurs and my trains for a long time today and eat my candy. I love Easter!

Getting Ready for Easter

Saturday I usually stay with Reen and PawPaw so my Mom can go to work, but they had to go to the Predators game. They wanted to take me to the game too but there were no more tickets left. So I went to the depot with my Mom and helped her put newspapers together. Then she took me to McDonalds. The best playground is at the McDonalds by the depot. But we couldn't stay there very long because my Mom had to work.

When it got dark my Mom took me to PawPaw's house to wait for them to get home from the game and then she went home. Reen made dinner and then PawPaw went to bed and we made Easter eggs. Reen showed me how to put the colors into little bowls and put the eggs in the colors. It was easy! I took pictures of the eggs I made with Reen's camera.

Here is how you make Easter eggs. First you put a color tablet in the little bowl. Then you have to measure 3 spoons of vinegar. Vinegar smells really bad. Then you stir them gently and then you add some water and be careful not to splash. I did all of that by myself!

Then we put an egg in each bowl so the color gets bright, and you use a little wand to get them out of the bowl. On some of the eggs Reen made little pictures with a white crayon and even wrote my name on one. I made eggs that were yellow and orange and red and green and blue.

We found out that if you don't use the wand you get colors on your fingers. Look at my fingers - don't they look like bunny ears?

We have to keep the Easter eggs in the refrigerator so they are good to eat on Easter Sunday. Then we watched Tom & Jerry cartoons and I went to sleep. My Mom will come get me tomorrow when she wakes up, so I get to stay with Reen and play with my toys and maybe go fishing with PawPaw if the weather is nice. But I hope the Easter Bunny comes first!
